Privacy Policy
Your files stay under your control.
This policy explains how Clover handles local files, workspace settings, purchases, and macOS permissions.
Effective date: May 3, 2026
Overview
Clover is a macOS file manager focused on local file browsing and organization. It does not require an account and does not operate a file-storage cloud service.
Files and folders you choose
Clover accesses only files and folders you open or explicitly permit through macOS. Access is used to display contents, navigate, preview supported files, and perform actions you request, including copy, move, rename, create, and delete.
Information stored on your Mac
Clover may store layout state, pane configuration, workspace preferences, bookmarks, and folder access choices locally so the app can restore your workspace and permitted locations.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Clover reads transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock features but does not receive your full payment card details.
Analytics, advertising, and accounts
- Clover does not require account registration.
- Clover does not include advertising.
- Clover does not intentionally upload personal file contents to a Clover-operated server.
- Clover does not sell personal information.
Children's privacy
Clover is not directed to children under 13 and does not provide child-specific accounts or social features.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated if Clover adds online features or changes how information is handled. The effective date will be revised when material changes are published.
