Your documents stay on your Mac.

This policy explains how WPDF handles files, app settings, purchases, and system permissions.

Overview

WPDF is a macOS app for merging PDFs and converting files to PDF, PNG, JPG, and Word formats. The app does not require an account and does not operate a document-processing cloud service.

Files you choose

WPDF accesses only the files and folders you select or explicitly permit through macOS. Access is used to inspect PDFs, show previews, merge pages, convert content, and save generated files at destinations you choose.

Security-scoped bookmarks may be stored locally so queued tasks can continue to access selected files after the app is reopened. WPDF does not upload your documents to a WPDF-operated server.

OCR and conversion

When OCR processing for scanned documents is enabled, WPDF uses Apple Vision on your Mac to recognize text. PDF merging, image export, OCR, and Word conversion are performed locally. Recognized text and document contents are not sent to an external OCR service.

Information stored on your Mac

Conversion preferences, including whether OCR is enabled.
Task history and non-secret metadata such as filenames, output paths, task state, page count, and file size.
Security-scoped bookmarks needed to access files and output folders you selected.
Free conversion usage and purchase entitlement state required to provide app features.

PDF passwords are not persisted in task history.

Purchases

Subscriptions and permanent unlock purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple may process purchase identifiers, payment information, and transaction records under Apple's own privacy policy. WPDF reads StoreKit transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock purchased features; it does not receive your full payment card details.

Analytics, advertising, and accounts

WPDF does not require account registration.
WPDF does not include advertising.
WPDF does not intentionally collect document contents for analytics or profiling.
WPDF does not sell personal information.

Data control

You control the source files and generated files stored on your Mac. Task records can be deleted from the app. Removing the app may not remove documents you previously exported or transaction records retained by Apple.

Children's privacy

WPDF is not directed to children under 13 and does not provide child-specific accounts or social features.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when WPDF adds or changes features. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
